Foster Care & Adoption
Declaration believes strongly in the importance of fostering and adopting children in need. James lists caring for widows and orphans as one of the marks of a living and active faith in God (James 1:27). Not only that, it is one of the most powerful pictures of the gospel. Our God is often described as a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5, 146:9). We, as believers, have been adopted into God’s family (Galatians 4:4-5).
We believe following Jesus means we try to do what he does and love what he loves. Therefore, we want to care for some of the most vulnerable in society and move towards those children who find themselves placed in difficult circumstances. We also want to care for and support those families who have opened their hearts and their homes to children in need.
Declaration’s Foster Care/Adoption Network is still taking form, but please check back on this page in the future for updates. In the meantime, if you are a Foster Care or adoptive family and there is a way we can help you, or if you’d like information on how to get involved as a FC/A Parent, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
