FAQ’S
-
1.) FUN - We believe fun is fertile soil that helps the gospel to take root. Whether at a small group Bible study, midweek worship service or special event/ retreat, every DC youth event will begin and end with an awesome game or activity.
2.) WORD - We believe the word of God is living and active, and that any person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work by it. Every aspect of our youth ministry involves the teaching and guidance of scripture.
3.) RELATIONSHIPS - We believe the good news of Jesus is best received and lived out in the context of a community. Every DC Youth event allows time for students to grow in relationship with each other and their college aged leaders through fun icebreakers and intentional small group reflection times.
-
DC Youth volunteers are comprised mostly of college aged church members who are fun, dynamic, and demonstrate standout spiritual maturity. DC Youth leaders selflessly give their time to teach and build relationships with students, these leaders are our ministry's greatest asset. Every leader is required to fill out an application, do an intensive interview, undergo a background check as well as go through abuse prevention training.
-
We firmly believe that parents are the primary instrument God desires to use to disciple students. As a youth ministry we desire to come alongside parents in these efforts and offer the unique benefit of committed, non-parental adults speaking truth and encouragement into students lives in unison with the work being done at home. The best way for parents to get involved with the youth ministry is to get involved with their student's leader. Get to know them, encourage and invest in them.

YOUTH CAMP! -
STUDENT LIFE CAMP
Mt. Lebanon Camp and Conference Center
JUNE 17-21
Student Life exists to help people know Christ through His Word. They believe God’s Word is relevant and instructive for the challenges students face today. Student Life Camp inspires students through engaging worship, sound biblical teaching, and community-building in small group Bible studies.
We believe discipleship best occurs within the context of the local church. Relationships formed at camp between students and their leaders serve as a catalyst to discipleship that continues long after camp ends. DC Youth is honored to have the opportunity to partner with Student Life make Jesus known in the lives of our students.
